SCHARR Outcomes is a group of leading international researchers in the area of measuring and valuing health, quality of life and wellbeing, particularly for use in health technology assessment.
We specialise in the development of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) that measure the health and quality of life of people for particular conditions or populations.
We also create valuations or analyses of existing measures to enable the generation of QALYs (quality adjusted life years) to inform health technology assessment.
SCHARR Outcomes health economics researchers come from a range of disciplinary backgrounds. We collaborate internationally with researchers, academics, policy makers, healthcare professionals and people working in industry and consultancy firms.
Researchers from SCHARR Outcomes work on projects funded from a wide range of sources including research councils, government departments, charities, consultancy firms and pharmaceutical companies.
